TRANSPORT & TRAFFIC
-
Parking and road restrictions
It has been communicated to ticket holders that we have no parking provision, and there is no parking available in the surrounding areas.
To prevent attendees parking in the surrounding area there will be some local access only road closures in place. The aim of this is to maintain a clear area for residents and local businesses by restricting access for event related traffic only. Parking will also be suspended on Charles Street on event days.
Access only road closure checkpoints:
To maintain access for residents and businesses, traffic marshals will stop vehicles at the checkpoints shown in the image above in order to assess the legitimacy of their request. This aims to prevent festival customers causing congestion and parking on residential roads.
To ensure easy access to your road:
- Have proof of address ready to show (e.g. a bill or driving licence).
-
Public and event transport
Customers have been advised to arrive and depart via Custom House station and DLR services to Beckton Park. Taxis will be directed to our designated drop-off and pick-up area located at Dockside Road Car Park, E16 2QT. In addition to this we will be running an event bus service that will be in operation between Canning Town and Dockside Road Car Park, urging more people to take a more sustainable choice of transport.
Train services via Canning Town, Custom House, Royal Albert, Beckton Park and Pontoon Dock will be busier than usual while the events take place. Please be aware that during the egress phase of the events, between 21:30-23:30, customers will be restricted from accessing Royal Albert station, and queuing systems may be in operation at Beckton Park and Pontoon Dock stations.
